History of Cascade Fine Catering
A family=owned business, Cascade Fine Catering was founded by the Landinos in 2004. The name is actually a nod to the family’s Italian roots. “Cascade” in Italian translates to “waterfall.” The venue actually has beautiful landscape feature outside representing this.
Presently, Rosa Ponte, one of the Landinos’ daughters, runs Cascade weddings with her team. The venue is located right next to the Quinnipiac University campus in Hamden, CT.
Venue Vibe and Features
Cascade Fine Catering is a classic ballroom wedding venue. The venue offers multiple wedding packages for you to consider when planning your wedding. Two big factors to consider when booking this venue are:
- Which ballroom (or both) you will book. As expected, both ballrooms have moody lighting. Keep this in mind when interviewing your prospective wedding photographer.
- Whether or not you will use Cascade only as a reception venue (i.e. your ceremony will take place elsewhere).
The downstairs ballroom (Garden Room) is perfect for intimate weddings and opens right up to the outdoor ceremony area. The upstairs ballroom (aptly called “Ballroom”), which is much larger, has chandeliers and a nice balcony with two staircases. Conveniently, both spaces have bars.
Unsurprisingly, Cascade Fine Catering is also well know for just that: its catering. This venue serves great food and offers plenty of options to couples.
Hotels Near Cascade Hamden
Cascade Hamden is located in greater New Haven. Therefore, there are plenty of hotel options nearby. A few choices are Graduate New Haven, Courtyard by Marriott New Haven Yale, and Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale.
