Wedding Story: Caroline and Jordan in Brooklyn, CT

One of the most fun couples I have ever photographed are Caroline and Jordan. Their Brooklyn barn wedding was laid back; the only expectation was that no one take themselves too seriously. Their love was shining all over the place and certainly lit up their barn venue.

Their Brooklyn Barn Wedding Story

Speaking to Caroline and Jordan for the first time on a video call, I knew we’d get along. This was proven true as I helped them through wedding planning and photographed their engagement session. The two of them together is basically like a ball of fun.

Getting ready for their Brooklyn barn wedding started at a rented property in not too far from the venue. Once everyone was prepared, they started heading over to Allen Hill Farm to really prepare. Their beautiful ceremony took place in front of the big boulder, with one of Jordan’s former teachers as their officiant.

Guests enjoyed the cool air and Jenga during cocktail hour. Later that night, Caroline and Jordan made an epic introduction into the barn for their reception as their loved ones roared in approval. After some buffet-style dinner, everyone enjoyed smores by the fire pit, selfies in the photo booth van, and dancing in the barn.

Jen Strunk Events, their wedding planner, made sure everything ran correctly, which was a huge help!
