2. Pinecroft Estate (Thompson)

Also in Thompson is Pinecroft Estate. Featuring a post and beam barn built in the early 1800s, this property is a newer, intimate barn venue. Ceremonies can take place in the barn itself or outside in the property’s French River View Lawn. This red barn has huge doors that open up, welcoming your wedding of up to 125. The sister venue to Branford House, Eolia Mansion at Harkness Memorial State Park is located in nearby Waterford. This gorgeous historic mansion is located on 200+ acres and the portrait opportunities are literally limitless. Don’t forget to get down to the beach once you let loose during your reception.

One thing to note is that Eolia is located within Harkness and both of these are wedding venues. 4. Waveny House (New Canaan)

Located in Waveny Park, New Canaan’s Waveny House is an early 20th century Tudor mansion under town ownership. The venue provides about 3000-plus square feet of beautiful rooms to enjoy, complete with handmade decorations and beautiful wood floors. Correspondingly, the grounds are awesome.

Wadsworth Mansion originated in 1901 as a private summer home. In the 1980s, renovations turned into a wedding and events venue. The National Register of Historic Places includes this mansion, which is also Connecticut State Landmark.
